Mammoth Gran Fondo  |  Sept 9

June Lake Jam Festival  |  Sept 9–10

End–of–summer sounds will fill the air at Gull Lake Park for this 3rd annual outdoor jam and fundraiser hosted by Mono Council for the Arts and supporting music instruction opportunities for children. LEARN MORE

Tioga Pass Run  |  Sept 10

3,200 feet of elevation gain over a 12.4-mile course along the shoulder of one of the most scenic roads. Proceeds from the run benefit the Mono Lake Committee. LEARN MORE

Kamikaze Bike Games  |  Sept 14–17

Off-road fun for all ability levels featuring some of the best cross country, enduro and downhill courses. With live music as well as food, drinks and even a kids bike race this is the big mountain, bike bash of the year. LEARN MORE

HuskyFest  |  Sept 17

Play in this annual golf tournament to support Mammoth High School athletes and help raise funds for equipment and travel. Every penny earned goes directly back to the athletes to provide necessities for participation and competition. LEARN MORE

Crowley Lake Trail Run | Oct 1

A USATF sanctioned trail run winding through dirt roads surrounding Beaver Cove and Crooked Creek with stunning views of the Glass, White and Sierra Mountains. Proceeds benefit the Crowley Lake Skate park project. 5K/10K and 1K kids race options available. LEARN MORE

With cooler temps rolling in, saying goodbye to summer and hello to fall is not a hard thing to do in the Eastern Sierra. Break out that light jacket and plan your outdoor adventure.

 

Sierra Star Golf Course

Devils Postpile, Reds Meadow & Rainbow Falls

A sight to behold, both are situated over the shoulder of Mammoth Mountain in the San Joaquin River Valley. Reds Meadow & Devils Postpile are accessible by personal vehicle beginning Sept 6, with a $10/vehicle fee to enter the gate. LEARN MORE

Hiking & Fishing

Spend an autumn afternoon exploring one of the numerous lakes or trails ranging from an easy walk to a strenuous hike Or cruise up to the Lakes Basin for plenty of hiking and fishing fun. Fall Tip: Take a drive around the Eastern Sierra in search of colorful aspen-lined canyons. The June Lake Loop, Rock Creek, McGee Creek and Virginia Lakes areas are a few favorites in late September, all offer extensive hiking trails and plenty of picnic spots along the way. 

High–Altitude Training

The cooler months are a runners ultimate paradise. Mammoth Mountain and the surrounding trail system provide the ultimate playground for high-altitude training.
